What categories will I find in the directory?
When you engage a coach it will be helpful to understand their certification, background, training and any specialization. So in the directory you find the following categories:
- Name and location. While much coaching is done remotely via telephone or video conferencing, you may desire to know where they are located.
- Contact information is self explanatory. It is also common to request a sample or exploratory session to determine if there is a fit.
- Biographical information including their location, contact information and picture.
- Coaching Niche refers to an area of specialization for the coach. This may be because of other education, certification or even work or ministry experience.
- Coach certification from the ICF or International Coaching Federation is the gold standard for coach certification worldwide. The acronyms from less to more experienced are:
- ACC – Associate Certified Coach,
- PCC – Professional Certified Coach and
- MCC – Master Certified Coach.
- Our Training partner, Coach Approach Ministries whose training itself is certified by the ICF, provides their own certifications which prepare for and align with the ICF. They are:
- CCLC or Certified Christian Leadership Coach which is a foundational and
- ECC or Executive Christian Coach for more information you may learn about them and their certification here.
If the coach has no certification or certification from a different source they are asked to share that information for the directory.
