Emotions in Coaching
As a coach, sometimes it’s a challenge to know how best to handle emotions in a coaching conversation or a coaching relationship. Emotions can feel like a portal that takes us past the client’s thinking and acting into a mysterious, illogical, and risky world. Maybe that’s why some coaches (mistakenly) think emotions belong in the realm of counseling and therapy, not coaching. In this ecourse, you’ll gain a level of comfort and confidence in working with emotions as a coach. You’ll learn why you should expect emotions (they are normal to the human experience!), how to explore them while staying true to coaching, and how to employ them for the benefit of your client. The course includes a printable workbook that supports your learning and helps you make the most of the 11 content-rich sessions. Master Certified Coach, Chad Hall has curated the best practices and insights from his own 20+ years of coaching experience as well as drawing on Christian scripture, emotional intelligence, stoicism, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and many more respected and practical sources.
